Hungry in Hungary – Budapest

barknomads

We arrived in Budapest the afternoon of St. Stephen’s Day, an annual festival of food, music and fireworks celebrating the foundation of the Hungarian state. There were food market stalls running for kilometres down the Danube with everything you could possibly imagine – we were so involved in eating that we didn’t even take any photos! The afternoon ended with a bang – fireworks across the bridges that lasted well into the night. We spent the next day exploring all the beauty (and more food) of Budapest.image
