Dan Hesse: Just like you, only different

Winters in Wyoming are cold, dark and long. Seriously, bitterly cold. But just before the snow flies and the temperatures drop, fall happens, and you forget all about what is to come. Mornings are crisp and cool, but by noon you are peeling off your shirt because the sun is blazing down in a cloudless sky. It is not unusual to use the defroster in your car in the morning, and the A/C in the afternoon.
These days are happening now, and it is a wonderful, bittersweet time. The hay is in, the machinery is put away, and I keep busy winterizing my place and just reveling in the gorgeous weather. Change is coming, but right now I can’t imagine a better place to be.
